We are looking for an enthusiastic Specialist Cardiac Physiologist/Healthcare Scientist to join our team working across Swansea Bay University Health Board.
We would welcome applications from either qualified Cardiac Physiologists/Cardiac Scientists.
Morriston hospital is a tertiary centre that provides a wide range of invasive and non-invasive cardiac investigations.
We are seeking motivated individuals to integrate into the team, who have experience and knowledge in a wide range of cardiac investigations. Candidates should be enthusiastic and dedicated to providing excellent patient care.

Main duties of the jobThe department offers a wide range of invasive and non-invasive investigations. Investigations include physiologist-led exercise testing, 24 hour ECG and BP monitoring and event recording. We provide a 24-hour primary PCI service alongside complex PCI and interventional techniques, TAVI service. We operate a busy Pacemaker and ICD implant and follow up service to include the use of remote monitoring, EPS + complex ablation and mapping procedures.
We also carry out Physiology led clinics. The department is a teaching Hospital and is actively involved in research. We are also participating in a number of clinical research trials. Suitable candidates would hold a BSc. Clinical Physiology (Cardiology), STP Msc. Cardiac Science or PTP Bsc. Cardiac Science. Hold registration with RCCP or AHCS.

- Bsc Clinical Physiology/Cardiac Science
- ILS
- ALS
- RCCP Registration
- Echocardiography
- Experience, scientific and Medical knowledge through formal training and practice in a comprehensive range of complex and specialist invasive and non-invasive cardiorespiratory investigations and procedures.
- Capable of supervising and managing trainees and prioritising.
- Able to demonstrate situations where effective leadership and management skills
- Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh
