Overview
Job Summary. Hourly Rate: £14.45. 24 hours a week. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment. Previous experience in customer service or healthcare is preferred but not essential. Strong IT and transferable skills with a willingness to learn and grow are welcomed.
Responsibilities- Acting on actioned test results from GPs
- Filing, scanning and retrieving paperwork
- Scanning of letters and relevant correspondence into patients notes
- Coding information into the Practice clinical system within the patient s medical records
- Summarisation of incoming patient medical record notes
- Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail
- Forwarding patients medical records to new registered GPs
- Processing repeat prescriptions from the NHS Wales App in accordance with practice guidelines
- Computer data entry processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures
- Receive and make telephone calls as required
- Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt delivery
- Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Supervisor, Senior Management Team or Partners
- Receptionist duties during annual leave and sickness absence
- Attend mandatory training required to fulfil role as a medical receptionist
Mountain View Health Centre is a surgery providing care for patients living in and around the Mayhill area of Swansea. Our current medical team consists of 4 GPs, 1 Prescribing Pharmacist, 2 Practice Nurses and a HCSW. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed and motivated Data Clerk to our friendly, hardworking team. Our aim at the practice is to provide a high standard of care to our patients.
