Specialist Cardiac Physiologist

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Specialist Cardiac Physiologist/Healthcare Scientist to join our team working across Swansea Bay University Health Board.

We would welcome applications from either qualified Cardiac Physiologists/Cardiac Scientists.

Morriston hospital is a tertiary centre that provides a wide range of invasive and non‑invasive cardiac investigations.

We are seeking motivated individuals to integrate into the team, who have experience and knowledge in a wide range of cardiac investigations. Candidates should be enthusiastic and dedicated to providing excellent patient care.

The department offers a wide range of invasive and non‑invasive investigations. Investigations include physiologist‑led exercise testing, 24‑hour ECG and BP monitoring and event recording. We provide a 24‑hour primary PCI service alongside complex PCI and interventional techniques, TAVI service.

We operate a busy Pacemaker and ICD implant and follow‑up service to include the use of remote monitoring, EPS + complex ablation and mapping procedures. We also carry out Physiology‑led clinics. The department is a teaching hospital and is actively involved in research. We are also participating in a number of clinical research trials. Suitable candidates would hold a BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology), STP Msc in Cardiac Science or PTP BSc in Cardiac Science. Hold registration with RCCP or AHCS.
