Nonstop Care is working with a Local authority in North Wales and is looking for an Educational Psychologist to join their service, ideally full-time.

This is a main grade EP position (Scale 3-8) operating within a well-established patch system, offering hybrid working and a high level of professional autonomy.

This service operates with a strong emphasis on professional judgement rather than a blanket assessment model. EPs are trusted to determine appropriate assessment approaches and may use a wide range of cognitive, social-emotional, and interactive assessment tools. The role is not therapy-focused but centres on consultation, intervention planning, and preventive work within schools.

You would work across a diverse range of settings including specialist provisions, autism-specific environments, and schools supporting social and emotional needs. Schools have access to ELSA and the service encourages innovative, school-led intervention work.

Responsibilities of Main Grade Educational Psychologist:

Managing an allocated patch of schools
Delivering direct time to schools within the Additional Learning/SEND framework
Psychological assessment, analysis, and formulation
Providing advice, guidance, and evidence-based strategies to schools
Producing high-quality written reports
Working ecologically with schools, parents, and children
Opportunity to shape and develop your role creatively to meet school needs

Requirements for Main Grade Educational Psychologist:

HCPC registration (or eligibility)
BPS recognised qualification
Strong assessment and report-writing skills
Understanding of local authority and ecological working practice
