Turning Point Scotland Services in Inverclyde are looking for people like you to help provide individualized support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

Turning Point Scotland Inverclyde Support Service is designed to assist individuals who have enduring mental health difficulties, alcohol and drug misuse and Alcohol Related Brain Damage (ARBD). The aim of the service is to promote a safe, secure and positive lifestyle for individuals while maximizing their capacity for independence and integration into their local community. The support we provide is always person‑centred, involving people who know the individuals well – this includes family and friends, other health and social work professionals, advocacy services and our own staff members.

Some of the individuals we support require assistance with personal care, social functioning and assistance in maintaining their tenancy. The support we provide is tailored to suit the needs of each individual, helping them to achieve personal outcomes.

We take a holistic and person‑centred approach to supports, underpinned by our values of respect, trust, commitment and confidentiality. Staff are trained to manage challenging behaviours, provide clear and concise information and meet each service user’s outcomes which they set on a monthly basis.

Turning Point Scotland Inverclyde services operate throughout the full year, delivering supports in this service between 9.00 am and 9.30 pm, weekends and public holidays including Christmas Day, New Years, Easter etc.

No previous working experience is needed; full training will be provided to you. We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is all you need to join our team! We would offer you full support in completing your application.

As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives – e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.

Where applicable, successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.
