Occupational Therapy Support Worker

Allied Health Professions 12-month Fixed Term Contract/SecondmentAn opportunity has arisen for a motivated person to join our General Adult Community Mental Health Occupational Therapy team. The team has clear values, service role and processes that guide interventions and the occupational therapy process.
We work flexibly to provide an equitable community occupational therapy service covering all localities within the Perth and Kinross HSCP. This covers a mix of Perth city and rural geography. We work as part of the Multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Teams.
Our OT Support Workers are highly valued by the OT team as an essential part of the team skill mix. Working with band 6 and band 7 OTs you will carry out planned treatment with patients in community locations as well as delivering small group interventions. You may also take on activities such as health and safety monitoring to ensure the smooth and safe management of the workplace.
Applicants will hold an HND/SVQ IV or equivalent qualification in a health social care subject or significant experience in a related health/social care setting.
Our Service provides excellent formal and informal supervision, actively supports individual development through performance development review and learning plans, provides a framework for encouraging CPD and promotes innovative practice. We work together to promote overall team wellbeing, recognising the importance of this and its impact on overall service provision.

Hours of work are: 37 hours configured over Monday to Friday.
