Social Care Personal Assistant

Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.

I am a young lady living in Swansea with cerebral palsy. I love animals. I like going to a petting centre or a farm. I enjoy arts and crafts and going for a look around the shops. I am better in the morning’s as I get tired quickly. If I am going for a long walk, I would need to take my wheelchair which would need to fit into the PAs car.

I would like a PA to go out in the community to enjoy the things I like doing.

Driver required to take me out.

Female preferred.

10 hours a week

Tues, Thurs or weekend mornings.

£13.50

• Drive to be able to take me out.
• Have a car big enough to fit my wheelchair if needed

I’d prefer if:

• You are bubbly and chatty.

• Going out in the community.

• Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
• Be confident, mature and have patience.
• Be dependable and arrive on time.
• Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
• Be adaptable and flexible.
• Be supportive but not take over.
• Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.

A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
