Social Care Personal Assistant

Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.

A little about myself:

I am a middle-aged man living in Swansea. I am non-verbal but after time you will understand me. I love a hug and like to shake your hand to find out your name. I have low blood pressure and tend to faint with no warning. I enjoy going to the pub to watch a band. I would like to do new things like bowling, cinema or going out to eat.

I am looking for a PA to go out on a weekend as I love to watch Emmerdale on a weekday.

Driver required to take me out.

Female preferred.

5 hours a week on a weekend plus mileage when you take me out.

£13.50

I need you to:

• Have previous experience;
• Spend time with me to understand me;
• Drive to be able to take me out.

I’d prefer if:

• You are young and bubbly.

• Going out in the community.

• Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality;
• Be confident, mature and have patience;
• Be dependable and arrive on time;
• Be friendly with an easy-going manner;
• Be adaptable and flexible;
• Be supportive but not take over;
• Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.

A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
