Senior HR Officer (Initially a 2-Month Placement)

E) Hourly Rate: £14.74 per hour

Hours:

37.5 hours per week Holiday Entitlement: 33 days including public holidays (pro rata) The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HR Officer to join their HR team in Llansamlet, Swansea on an initially 2-month placement. This role will provide operational HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employee administration, reporting, and compliance activities. Acting as a key point of contact for employees and managers, you will support the delivery of an efficient and professional HR service.

Key Responsibilities Support recruitment, onboarding, and pre-employment compliance checks. Maintain accurate HR records and systems in line with GDPR requirements. Process employee lifecycle changes including starters, changes, and leavers. Respond to HR queries and provide guidance on policies and procedures. Support employee benefits administration and performance management processes. Produce HR reports and documentation for audits and management information. Assist with HR projects, policy updates, and service improvement initiatives.

Coordinate training administration and maintain training records. Ensure HR activities comply with organisational policies and employment legislation. Essential Requirements 2 to 4 years' experience within an HR support or HR Officer role. Good knowledge of HR practices, procedures, and employment legislation. Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle administration. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.

Desirable Requirements CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards a professional HR qualification. Experience in benefits administration, HR reporting, or compliance activities. Experience in a fast-paced or multi-site environment. Welsh language skills. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes (reasonable adjustments will be considered). Skills and Attributes Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Confident communicator able to support employees and managers. Adaptable, resilient, and able to manage competing priorities.
