Description

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer, the role is a specialized position focused on proactively testing and improving INNIO’s security controls and supporting advanced forensic investigations, especially in compliance-relevant cases. This position does not participate in routine SOC triage or standard incident response but is consulted on exceptional cases and complex topics that cannot be resolved by the regular Cyber Incident Response Team.

What INNIO Offers You

  • Flexible working time model (depending on position and role)
  • Private Medical package subject to BIK Tax
Your Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute proactive testing of security controls, including simulated attacks, control effectiveness reviews, and scenario-based assessments.
  • Identify failing or insufficient controls, document findings, and collaborate with responsible teams to ensure timely remediation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide expert consultation on exceptional security incidents and compliance‑relevant investigations, especially when standard processes are insufficient.
  • Lead or support digital forensic investigations, including evidence collection, analysis, and reporting for compliance, regulatory, or legal cases.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the incubation and implementation of new security initiatives (e.g., Data Loss Prevention, advanced monitoring, or emerging compliance requirements).
  • Develop and maintain playbooks and documentation for advanced testing and forensic activities.
  • Support compliance audits and regulatory inquiries by providing forensic evidence and expert analysis.
  • Deliver clear, actionable reports and executive summaries on control testing, forensic investigations, and remediation actions.
  • Contribute to security awareness and training initiatives, especially those based on real‑world findings from control testing and forensic work.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security control testing, digital forensics, or advanced security engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of security testing methodologies, forensic toolkits (e.g., EnCase, FTK), and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR).
  • Experience supporting or consulting for Cyber Incident Response Teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English;
    German is a plus.

At INNIO, we offer an attractive compensation. Your qualifications and experience will be considered in an open dialogue during the recruiting process to ensure a market‑competitive compensation package.
