Velonetic is looking for an experienced Commercial Property Claims Adjuster to join a growing property team working for a leading Underwriter in the London Market. Applications will also be considered from insurance professionals with commercial property broking and/or underwriting experience.

The role offers an environment where you can develop breadth and depth of technical insurance wordings and London Market insurance knowledge across a variety of business situations.

• Handle commercial property claims in line with agreed service levels for quality and turnaround times.
• Interpret contracts of insurance, policy wordings and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claim work.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve claim issues efficiently.
• Participate in training programmes and ongoing professional development to stay current with industry best practices.

• Technical commercial property claims handling experience.
• Knowledge of insurance principles and practice.
• Ability to interpret contracts of insurance and policy wordings.
• IT proficiency.
• Sound understanding of the London market desirable but not essential.
• Lloyd’s market systems knowledge desirable but not essential.
• Experience with North America claims is also desirable.
• Work to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail.
• Strong organisational, personal and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
