We are seeking a senior UK-qualified Family Office Legal Adviser to act as a trusted long-term adviser on a retainer basis, supporting the family across complex personal legal matters and providing continuity, judgement, and discretion over time.

This engagement will expose the adviser to complex challenges at both national and international level, requiring a thoughtful, strategic, and coordinated approach.

This is not an employment position. It is an ongoing advisory relationship built on trust and long-term alignment.

• Act as principal legal adviser to the family on personal and family-related matters.
• Advise on family law, private client, and personal legal matters with sensitivity and discretion.
• Support and coordinate legal strategy in active High Court or related proceedings.
• Interface with specialist insolvency, litigation, international advisers or tax counsel where required.
• Advise on asset protection, structuring, and governance across personal and family-owned entities.
• Provide guidance on matters with national and international dimensions, including cross-border considerations.
• Provide pragmatic, timely advice in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and act as a trusted sounding board over time.

• Take responsibility for a wider legal mandate covering the family's affairs
• Oversee and manage matters ranging from litigation and dispute strategy to long-term asset preservation and protection
• Act as the family's primary legal point of contact, ensuring consistency, judgement, and continuity across all matters.

• UK-qualified solicitor or barrister
• Strong expertise in Legal Document Preparation and addressing Legal Issues
• Experience working in a family office or long-term investment environment is an advantage
• Strong background in commercial law, private client work
• Demonstrate experience advising on or alongside various commercial disputes, litigation and High Court exposure
• Experience working with founders, entreprenueurs, UNHW individuals, or family offices
• Calm, commercially minded, and judgement-led approach
• Comfortable working on a retainer basis rather than transactional engagements

• Retainer-based advisory role (scope and cadence to be agreed)
• Flexible, long-term relationship rather than fixed hours
