Part Time Maintenance Technician

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on and proactive Engineering Assistant to join our team at Delta Hotels by Marriott Swansea. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our hotel running smoothly by ensuring all equipment, facilities and guest areas are well maintained and in excellent condition.

• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance across guest rooms and public areas, including basic plumbing, electrical repairs, and general upkeep
• Responding quickly and efficiently to maintenance requests to ensure a great guest experience
• Assisting with monitoring safety systems such as fire alarms and emergency equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance checks to reduce downtime and maintain high standards
• Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organised, and ready for use
• Supporting energy-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
• Responding to emergency situations and helping to restore normal operations as quickly as possible
• Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and ensuring clear communication between shifts
• Working closely with the Engineering team and other departments to maintain smooth hotel operations

• Some experience in maintenance, engineering, or a similar practical role
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and/or electrical work
• A proactive, reliable and “can-do” attitude
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
