The Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all site cleaning activities to ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment is maintained across the business. The role oversees cleaning staff, standards, schedules, compliance, and resource management, supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees, visitors, and customers while ensuring Company standards are consistently achieved.

• Lead and supervise the cleaning team to ensure all cleaning activities are completed effectively and efficiently.
• Allocate daily tasks and priorities in line with operational requirements.
• Monitor performance and provide guidance, coaching, and support to cleaning staff.
• Maintain and promote high standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and accountability across the team.

• Maintain and ensure all offices, welfare facilities, kitchens, washrooms, production support areas, and communal areas are cleaned to the required standard.
• Conduct routine inspections of completed work.
• Coordinate planned deep-cleaning activities and additional cleaning requirements.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are completed and maintained.

• Manage stocks of cleaning chemicals, consumables, and equipment.
• Ensure adequate supplies are available to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor the condition of cleaning equipment and arrange maintenance or replacement when required.
• Ensure equipment is used and stored correctly.

• Ensure all cleaning activities comply with Company policies, COSHH requirements, and Health & Safety legislation.
• Conduct and maintain relevant risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Promote a strong safety culture within the cleaning team.

• Carry out regular audits and inspections of facilities and cleaning standards.
• Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Report maintenance defects, hygiene concerns, and compliance issues.
• Maintain cleaning records, audit documentation, and performance reports.

• Drive improvements in cleaning standards, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Review cleaning schedules and working practices regularly.
• Implement best practices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

• Previous experience in a cleaning, facilities, housekeeping, or site services environment.
• Experience supervising, coordinating, or leading a team.
• Strong understanding of cleaning standards, methods, and best practices.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements, including COSHH.
• Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Ability to conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train, motivate, and support team members.
• Competent in completing records, reports, and cleaning schedules.
