We are looking for a proactive and hands‑on Section Lead to take responsibility for a defined production area within our operations team. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Production Operator or Line Leader ready to take the next stepleading by example, maintaining standards, and ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and right the first time. You won’t have direct people management responsibility, but you will be the operational lead within your section and a key support to the Production Shift Lead.

Key Responsibilities Production & Process Control
  • Lead daily production activity within your assigned section
  • Ensure output meets agreed plans, schedules and takt times
  • Monitor productivity and efficiency; take corrective action where required
  • Allocate tasks to maintain smooth workflow
  • Ensure materials, components and packaging are available to avoid downtime
Quality & Standards
  • Ensure full compliance with SOPs and work instructions
  • Act as first‑line quality control within the section
  • Identify defects, trends and non‑conformances
  • Support audits and customer visits
  • Work closely with Quality to implement improvements
Health, Safety & Hygiene
  • Promote and enforce safe working practices
  • Carry out routine housekeeping and safety checks
  • Encourage near‑miss reporting
  • Escalate issues promptly to the Shift Lead
Continuous Improvement
  • Support LEAN and waste reduction initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce downtime
  • Assist with trials, process updates and standardisation
Equipment & Maintenance
  • Liaise with Engineering regarding equipment issues
  • Support fault finding and line recovery
Qualifications
  • Has experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Understands SOP‑driven operations and quality standards
  • Leads by example and maintains high operational standards
  • Is confident making day‑to‑day operational decisions
  • Has strong problem‑solving skills
  • Takes ownership of safety and performance
Desirable
  • LEAN or Continuous Improvement experience
  • Food manufacturing background
