Shift supervisor, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Production Supervisor - Glamorgan - up to £34,000 OTE £36,500  Benefits -  I am currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor to work for a cutting-edge technology company based in Glamorgan. Salary up to £34,000  Benefits. The organisation has been in operation for many years and are worldwide leaders within the design, development, and manufacture of their highly intelligent products. As a business they turnover north of £85m, employ 500 people and are constantly evolving their legacy products as well as designing and developing new innovative products to bring to market.

In line with demand for their products and to support the business with their growth plans they have the need to appoint another Production Supervisor on a permanent basis. In this role as a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all team KPIs are consistently met with a specific focus on achieving, and ideally exceeding, production output targets.

You will take full ownership of your team and be expected to drive performance to ensure timelines are met on the production line. You will lead a team of approximately 15 staff members which are made up of Assembly and Operative roles. A key responsibility will be to ensure the correct staffing levels at each station to complete required tasks efficiently.

This role may also involve liaising with Procurement staff to stay up to date on material requirements and availability to ensure products can be assembled in line with business targets and expectations. Additionally, there will be a strong emphasis on Continuous Improvement, including identifying and implementing necessary process enhancements. Your will start on early's which is 6-2 days. Once understanding of the role and business, you will go on a 2-shift pattern which is early's and lates until the end of December which will be 6-2 days and 2-11 Mon-Thurs and 2-6 Fri.

January onwards will be single early shifts which is 6-2 Monday-Friday. Essential Requirements:
Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Manufacturing Lead, Team Lead or similar Experience supervising and leading a team

Experience with an MRP (Ideally SAP)

Experience with Continuous Improvement

Desirable Requirements :
Experience in a highly regulated environment (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical or Pharmaceutical) 6 Sigma This is a fantastic opportunity for a Production Supervisor to work for a growing company who are very highly regarded within the industry.
