Extrusion Machine Operator - Swansea, UK

Temp to Perm

3 or 4 Shift Pattern of Days & Nights

Job Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic profiles and components.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure consistent quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings as necessary to optimise performance and product quality.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on extrusion equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any issues to management promptly.
  • Assist in the training of new team members and support team collaboration.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating extrusion machinery within a manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of plastic extrusion processes and quality control standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Relevant health and safety certifications, such as IOSH or NEBOSH, are desirable.
  • Technical skills in machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible attitude towards shift patterns and overtime as required.
