THE ROLE

As an Experienced Multi-Skilled ATA Painter / Prepper, you will be responsible for preparing, painting and refinishing accident-damaged vehicles to a consistently high standard. Combining strong preparation skills with professional paint application and finishing techniques, you'll play an important role in ensuring vehicles are repaired efficiently and returned with a high-quality finish.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare accident-damaged vehicles for paint, including sanding, masking, priming and panel preparation

· Carry out professional paint spraying, refinishing and repair work to a high standard

· Complete colour matching, blending, polishing and finishing to achieve factory-quality results

· Carry out both preparation and paint duties efficiently across a range of vehicle repairs

· Inspect completed work and rectify any imperfections to ensure excellent repair quality

· Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians, VDA/Estimators and Workshop Controllers to maintain efficient vehicle throughput

· Maintain paint equipment, spray areas and workstations in a clean, safe and professional condition

· Follow manufacturer repair methods, bodyshop quality standards and Health & Safety procedures

ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced, ATA-qualified and multi-skilled Painter / Prepper who takes pride in their workmanship and can confidently work across both preparation and paint disciplines.

· ATA qualification in Paint / Refinishing

· Proven experience as a Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician, Painter / Prepper or Paint Refinisher within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop

· Strong knowledge of modern automotive paint systems and refinishing techniques

· Excellent preparation skills, including sanding, masking, priming and panel preparation

· Strong colour matching, blending, polishing and finishing abilities

· Ability to carry out both preparation and paint spraying duties to a consistently high standard

· Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing first-class finishes

· Ability to work efficiently within a busy accident repair production environment

· Strong understanding of repair quality and manufacturer repair methods

· Reliable, professional and motivated approach to work

· Strong team player with excellent communication skills

· Full UK Driving Licence preferred
