The successful applicant will report directly to Amy Cole, Head of Programmes, Wales, and will ideally be based in South Wales, as this is predominantly where the majority of work will take place.

The Volunteer Development Coordinator will recruit, train and support volunteers across Wales, empowering them to further champion Tempo Time Credits, while also strengthening connections across the community, and helping more people access the benefits of volunteering.
This position will see you:
Establish and develop Tempo’s volunteering programme.
Design and implement our volunteer policies, procedures and processes and volunteering handbook.
Recruit volunteers to support Welsh Government funded Tempo programmes across Wales, and pairing them with tasks which related to their skills, passions and interests.
Organise and deliver volunteer inductions and training to support volunteers involved in Tempo Cymru programmes.
Provide ongoing support, encouragement and supervision to volunteers, ensuring volunteers feel confident, informed and supported in their roles.
Oversee volunteer expenses and budget, time credit administration and maintain accurate volunteer records (DBS, right to work, training, contact details)
We are looking for volunteer professional with:
Experience of coordinating or supporting volunteers.
Knowledge of safeguarding policies, risk assessments and best practice relating to volunteer recruitment and management.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
Good administrative and project management skills.
Ability to work flexibly across different communities.
