Health & Safety Consultant | Swansea - Fixed-term Contract (52 Weeks) Directly employed - £65k
I require an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to work in a fast-paced logistics environment for a global, blue-chip client. It is a developer-led development with some initial demolition followed by a new build distribution centre. I am looking for a fixed-term directly employed individual for around £65k plus benefits. This is an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Consultant to join an established and professional team with the primary purpose of supporting and advising the project team.
This will require a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
Typical duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Recording and maintaining accurate daily and weekly metrics.
- Reporting to onsite management teams using corporate reporting systems.
- Supporting stakeholders and the project team with compliance and HS regulations.
- Carrying out regular site walks throughout the day.
- Completing risk assessments with attention to detail.
- Carrying out toolbox talks.
- Attending and chairing various meetings with the stakeholders and the wider project team.
- Advising and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- CSCS card
- SMSTS with experience of working Principal Contractor side
Skills & Experience:
- You will work with a global, online distribution organisation who use their own bespoke health & safety reporting platform. Prior experience of using similar bespoke systems would be advantageous.
- Previous experience of working as a Health & Safety Consultant / Health & Safety Advisor or similar is essential.
- Prior experience of working on industrial warehouse projects would be advantageous.
