Product Packing and Shipping Team Leader

We are currently looking to recruit a Team Leader within the Product Packing and Shipping Department
.

Reporting to the Product Packing and Shipping Supervisor, the Team Leader will play a key role in supporting the safe and effective day-to-day operation of the department. We are looking for someone who can bring energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
, engaging with the team and leading by example.

Product Packing and Shipping is a busy and continually changing operational environment
, where priorities and demands can change quickly. The successful candidate will therefore need to be adaptable, flexible and resilient
, with the ability to respond positively to changing circumstances, coordinate activities effectively and maintain high standards when working under pressure.

Safety is fundamental to this role. The Team Leader will be expected to demonstrate a proactive approach to safety, challenge unsafe behaviours and help create an environment where everyone takes responsibility for working safely.

Continuous Improvement is equally important to the ongoing success of Product Packing and Shipping and our ability to deliver for our customers. The successful candidate will also be expected to actively support and drive improvement, encouraging the team to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and ways of working
.

Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The Team Leader will need to build positive working relationships, communicate expectations clearly and provide visible and energetic leadership that motivates, supports and engages the team.

The successful candidate will also have good problem-solving skills, sound judgement and the confidence to make decisions when required. Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to deal with challenging situations in a calm, constructive and professional manner are also important.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous Team Leader or leadership experience
  , ideally gained within a Product Packing and Shipping, manufacturing, logistics or operational environment.
• Demonstrate a strong and proactive commitment to health and safety

• Ideally hold a Business Studies Diploma or equivalent qualification
  .
