Hydraquip are the UK’s largest independent onsite hose replacement company, offering a 24/7 365-day service nationwide. We have been established for over 30 years and have ambitious plans for further growth in the coming years. Our hydraulic trade counters carry a comprehensive stock of fluid power products from stock to offer an instant over the counter response, with access to 70,000+ products available for next day delivery.

Each hydraulic trade counter has been built with dedicated production facilities to allow the manufacture of a one off, or high volumes of hydraulic hose assemblies with optional testing, labelling, bagging or including them into multi components kits.

Our Branch Assistant are hands‑on and work closely with the Branch Manager and in day‑to‑day depot operations. A part of your day will be serving both new and existing customers from our busy trade counter, always delivering excellent service and driving sales where possible. You will be using our computer system to locate stock & process customer orders and provide timely and accurate quotations.

Your duties will also include:

• Assisting with customer enquiries either face to face or on the phone / email.
• Processing of sales orders & quotations
• Identifying, sourcing & component selections for projects
• Assist with depot stock control levels, reordering and assisting with stock taking.
• Day to day operation of hydraulic trade counter
• Assist with the promotion of products and services.
• Provide prompt friendly customer service to the highest standards, producing Quotes / sales orders in a timely manner.
• Completing general administration duties, including Goods in/ Goods out.
• Keeping the branch up to H&S standards, Good housekeeping throughout the branch. Assisting with requests from senior members of staff
• Coordination of a small number of Mobile breakdown vans direct from the branch

You will need a hands‑on, customer focused approach, be confident and happy to serve customers on a busy trade counter, proactively engage with current potential future customers. As a Branch Assistant, you will have had previous experience in a similar customer facing role, perhaps in another industry.

Must be Enthusiastic, eager to learn, be an active and essential member for a team, with the ability to also work well on your own, must also be trustworthy and honest.

Whilst not essential, previous knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic components will be a distinct advantage.

Driving licence is essential, as from time to time, we may also need you to assist with deliveries to our customers/engineers.

• Basic salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience
