Security Officer
Pay Rate £12.86ph
Shifts:
3 days, 3 nights, 3 rest days
Essential:
Full UK Driving Licence, SIA SG/DS Licence
- To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
- Deliver results that meet or exceed key performance indicators / Service Level Agreements for the customer through full responsibility and accountability.
- Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions.
- Proactively review the Assignment Instructions and suggest amendments to improve service.
- Maintain industry and statutory licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and CCTV PSS SIA Licence at all times. Complete additional contractually required courses.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work in a systematic, methodological and orderly way.
- Complete all required competency training.
- Undertake additional training directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through ongoing professional development.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
- Immediately report any health and safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes in the environment and take appropriate action.
- Use common sense and involve others if a situation appears threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct with difficult customers.
- Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries after incidents for the Incident Report process.
- Adhere to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
- Ensure check calls are carried out at the stipulated time slot.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
- Previous security experience.
- SIA Licence.
