Occupational Therapist

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00 with some flexibility

Contract: Fixed term until May 2027. This role can be a secondment.

The project is funded through The National Lottery Community Fund and operates across Swansea NPT working with people who have multiple overlapping and unmet needs. We are a team of professionals from different organisations that come together to provide Assessments, Interventions and Support together in one place which we call the Swansea NPT 360, with the aim of engaging vulnerable individuals in support services and signposting to relevant support.

We are made up of staff that come from The Wallich, Crisis, SBUHB, Barod and Welsh Refugee Council working together to give the best support possible for homeless people in complex situations.

The Occupational Therapist (OT) delivers specialist, occupation‑focused assessment and intervention for individuals experiencing homelessness and complex, multiple unmet needs. The role focuses on enabling engagement in meaningful daily activities, enhancing safety and functional independence, and reducing barriers to housing stability, access to health services, and community participation.

Working collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team (MDT), the OT provides flexible, trauma‑informed, and person‑centred practice across outreach, drop‑in, and service‑based environments.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure and driving licence with access to own vehicle is essential.
