Position: Housing & Wellbeing Advisor

If you’re passionate about supporting customers to sustain their tenancies, improve their wellbeing and access the services they need to live safely and independently, this role based in Swansea and surrounding areas may be a good fit. As a Housing & Wellbeing Advisor, you will work directly with individuals facing a range of challenges, using a compassionate and person‑centred approach to build resilience, promote stability and achieve positive outcomes.

You will also collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies to deliver coordinated support and wellbeing initiatives that positively impact overall customer wellbeing and housing stability.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with individuals to improve their wellbeing, strengthen resilience and sustain their tenancy.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with customers, colleagues and external partners.
  • Collaborate with partner organisations to connect individuals with health providers, support agencies and community organisations, ensuring a joined‑up approach that places the customer at the heart of service delivery.
  • Deliver coordinated and meaningful support to meet customers’ needs.
Qualifications
  • Experience supporting individuals within housing, wellbeing or community‑based settings.
  • Confidence in building trusted relationships with vulnerable or barrier‑facing people.
  • Strong communication skills and empathy, with the ability to manage a diverse and complex workload.
  • Understanding of trauma‑informed approaches and the challenges affecting tenancy sustainability.
  • Proficiency in digital systems for accurate record‑keeping and organisational efficiency.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills; a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
Benefits & Employment Details
  • 30 hours per week (over 4 days), permanent role.
  • Salary: £35,040 per annum.
  • 26 days holiday pro‑ratable plus bank holidays; rising to 31 days with an extra day for each full year of service.
  • Sick pay: up to 6 months full pay after 4 years of service.
  • Blue Light Card eligibility, providing discounts at 15,000 brands.
  • Continuous professional training and development.
