Contract Type: Temporary / Project-Based - Approx. 8 weeks cover to end of funding

Working Pattern: Part-time days only between 9am and 4.30pm

Hours: 21 to 28 hours per week

DBS: Required
Office based - no travel during work hours required

Are you passionate about empowering women, advocating for survivors, and creating positive, lasting change in the community?

We are looking for an empathetic, dedicated Domestic Violence Case Worker to join our team in Swansea. In this dynamic role, you will help develop and deliver vital family support services, working directly with women and children affected by domestic abuse to help them rebuild their independence, minimise homelessness risks, and thrive.

Working through a trauma-informed and self-help approach, you will empower service users to make informed choices, navigate challenging transitions, and access the practical and emotional support they need.

• Individual Support & Case Management: Conduct initial assessments, develop tailored support plans, and manage an active caseload.
• Advocacy & Resettlement: Act as an advocate for women, encouraging self-advocacy and assist with re-housing, local community integration, and navigating health, legal, or financial services.
• Group Work & Facilitation: Deliver key recovery and awareness programmes (such as the Freedom Programme and Recovery Toolkit sessions) and facilitate 1:1 support.

  Collaboration:
  
  Work alongside local specialist agencies (including mental health and substance misuse providers) and contribute to the smooth running of local community One Stop Shop facilities.
• Co-Production & Engagement: Active involvement with survivor co-producers to ensure service users have a direct voice in service design, policy reviews, and project development.
• Rota & On-Call Coverage: Participate in the team's 24-hour on-call rota and work flexible hours, including regular evenings and weekends as required by service demand.

We are seeking a resilient, skilled communicator with a solid understanding of power dynamics, boundaries, and the long-term impact of trauma.

• Experience & Knowledge: Proven track record supporting women (and children) facing domestic abuse and complex needs within a crisis or community environment.
• Support Planning: Experience in risk management, support planning, advocacy, and group work facilitation.
• Empowerment Ethos: Strong commitment to anti-discriminatory practice, equal opportunities, and survivor co-production.

  Skills:
  
  Proficient with basic IT systems, record-keeping databases, and project administration.
• Flexibility: Willingness and ability to participate in an evening/weekend schedule and the 24-hour on-call rota.

• Qualification in Information, Advice, and Guidance or similar.
• Specialised knowledge in overlapping areas such as mental health, substance misuse, housing, or immigration.
• Ability to speak Welsh or additional languages.
