Swansea | New Directions Social Care
New Directions Social Care is currently recruiting Adult Support Workers to work within hostel settings across Swansea.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support vulnerable adults, helping them to achieve independence and improve their wellbeing in a safe and supportive environment.
The RoleAs an Adult Support Worker, you will work with adults living in hostel accommodation, providing practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities- – Supporting residents with daily living skills and promoting independence.
- – Building positive, professional relationships with service users.
- – Encouraging engagement with support services and community activities.
- – Assisting with housing-related support and signposting to appropriate services.
- – Maintaining accurate records and completing reports as required.
- – Promoting safeguarding, health, and wellbeing at all times.
- – Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- – Previous experience working with vulnerable adults, supported housing, homelessness services, or hostel environments is desirable.
- – A caring, compassionate, and person-centred approach.
- – Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- – Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- – Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle – drivers only.
- – Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- – Applicants must have the right to work in the UK with no restrictions on working hours. Unfortunately, we cannot consider candidates with limited working-hour visas.
