Adult Support Worker – Hostels

New Directions Social Care is currently recruiting Adult Support Workers to work within hostel settings across Swansea.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support vulnerable adults, helping them to achieve independence and improve their wellbeing in a safe and supportive environment.

As an Adult Support Worker, you will work with adults living in hostel accommodation, providing practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs.

• – Supporting residents with daily living skills and promoting independence.
• – Building positive, professional relationships with service users.
• – Encouraging engagement with support services and community activities.
• – Assisting with housing-related support and signposting to appropriate services.
• – Maintaining accurate records and completing reports as required.
• – Promoting safeguarding, health, and wellbeing at all times.
• – Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally.

• – Previous experience working with vulnerable adults, supported housing, homelessness services, or hostel environments is desirable.
• – A caring, compassionate, and person-centred approach.
• – Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• – Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• – Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle – drivers only.
• – Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• – Applicants must have the right to work in the UK with no restrictions on working hours. Unfortunately, we cannot consider candidates with limited working-hour visas.
