* Job Purpose:

** To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled product and invoices to the customer within the corporate guidelines.
** All staff are expected to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (2013/C 68/01) which is reflected in our SOP –  1 AHDL GDP 1.1. It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher. All other GDP training will be job specific and as per your personal training matrix** ## Key Accountabilities
* To maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
* To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
* To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
* To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
* To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
* To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
* To check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
* To collect goods returned for credit, mail, cheques or delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at all times.
* To ensure Housekeeping standards are maintained.
* Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for Haz Chems.
* To maintain a smart appearance at all times.
* To help maintain good customer relations.
* To be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.
* Meet all Health & Safety requirements.# .# Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Required:

** Essential
* ** A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven
* For insurance purposes, all drivers must be over 21 years of age
* Existing employees must update fleet services accordingly with any changes to their license status e.g. points on their license, driving bans etc
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent Customer care
* Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy
** Desirable
* ** Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
* Route planning experience
** MANUAL HANDLING
**** It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.

· Required to monitor the condition of own vehicle and report and damages or faults
· Serious faults or damages may result in the driver making the decision the vehicle is not roadworthy

** Drivers are required to maintain a smart appearance due to their constant interaction with external customers#
