Labourer​/Driver

Swansea Council's Furnished Tenancies department is seeking a reliable Labourer/Driver to join a busy team delivering furniture and white‑goods to council tenants. You will operate a 7.5‑tonne vehicle, handle manual loading and unloading, and ensure a safe, timely service while maintaining high standards of customer care and health & safety. The position is permanent - full time.

The salary for the position is Grade 3 £ 26,016.00 per annum.

• - Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification for 7.5‑tonne vehicles.
• - Full UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
• - Proven ability to lift and move heavy furniture and white‑goods safely.
• - Experience in delivery or driver roles, preferably within a council or housing environment.
• - Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• - Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
• - Basic IT skills for recording deliveries and completing paperwork.
• - Knowledge of health and safety best practices for manual handling and vehicle operation.
• - Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• - Flexibility to work varied hours and respond to urgent delivery requests.
