Our company is seeking an Accountant to join our small but growing team in Swanton, VT. Reporting to VP of Finance and Controller, this role will perform full cycle accounting, manage fixed assets, coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing, and support various accounting functions. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and energetic professional to grow and develop with the support of our corporate team.

• Oversee full cycle accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statements
• Manage fixed assets and perform regular account reconciliations
• Coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing activities
• Coordinate cash flow forecasting
• Participate in the annual budget process with multiple departments
• Implement and maintain internal controls for accounting processes
• Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes
• Oversee project costing activities, ensuring accurate allocation of costs
• Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely processing
• Process payroll to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees
• Perform Human Resources functions, including recruitment, new hire onboarding and organizing social events
• Complete annual physical inventory reconciliation and reporting
• Assist the plant/manufacturing manager with accounting related inquiries.

• Minimum 3 years of related experience
• Associate's degree in accounting
• Experience in Full Cycle accounting, performing account reconciliation and managing fixed assets
• Experience with month‑end and year‑end closings
• Familiarity with textile industry is a plus
• Payroll & Human Resources experience are a plus
• Working knowledge of Quick Books, ADP, strong knowledge of Excel and Word
• Individual medical Insurance through current carrier Cigna Insurance for eligible employees. The Company pays 50% of the premium and 50% is paid by the employee through payroll deduction.
