Position SummaryWe are hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics with a strong background in heavy commercial HVAC installations. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing ductwork and HVAC components in large-scale commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Measure, cut, and fabricate sheet metal for HVAC duct systems using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Install and assemble ductwork, vents, grilles, dampers, and related HVAC components
- Read and interpret HVAC blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings
- Ensure proper alignment, fit, and secure installation of duct systems
- Perform on-site modifications and adjustments as required
- Coordinate with other trades and project foremen to ensure timely and accurate installation
- Adhere to OSHA standards and safety protocols at all times
- 3+ years of experience in sheet metal work, with a focus on heavy commercial HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and HVAC blueprints
- Skilled in layout, fabrication, and installation of ductwork (rectangular, spiral, and specialty)
- Familiarity with different types of HVAC systems and components
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as needed
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus
