Job Description

The Shop Floor Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Ensuring a safe working environment and adherence to safety procedures.
• Ensuring all personnel wear required PPE such as safety shoes, glasses, face shields, gloves, ear plugs, etc., and that PPE is available.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and MSDS sheets; ensuring personnel are aware of hazards.
• Designating Fire Wardens, Safety Correspondents, and Hazardous Waste Managers.
• Training personnel on evacuation plans.
• Participating in site Safety Programs (e.g., SOR and PASS).
• Maintaining housekeeping and organization within areas of responsibility.
• Reporting and investigating safety incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions, and documenting in Trackwise.
• Ensuring personnel receive health center care when needed, including vaccinations and physicals.
• Maintaining communication with HSE within the PC/APC process.

• Understanding and ensuring compliance with FDA and CQR standards.
• Communicating cGMP improvements to management.
• Reviewing and approving documents, batch records, and deviations.
• Supporting root cause analysis and preventative actions.
• Coaching technicians and ensuring readiness for FDA audits.
• Ensuring use of Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and proper documentation.

• Managing activities for optimal process scheduling.
• Communicating shift change reports.
• Ensuring equipment availability and process support.
• Supporting production requirements, maintenance scheduling, and continuous improvement.

• Adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Ensuring personnel have necessary resources.
• Fostering fair treatment and respect.
• Conducting coaching, performance reviews, and development planning.
• Managing personnel schedules, vacation requests, and HR communication.

• This is a third-shift position, with managerial coverage required during non-standard hours.
• Qualifications include excellent communication skills, working knowledge of SAP, and relevant manufacturing experience.

• BS degree in Biological Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or filling.
• Knowledge of cGMPs and continuous improvement techniques.
