Looking for a bookkeeping role where you're more than just a number?

We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a friendly and collaborative team in Swindon. This is a varied role where you'll work closely with a portfolio of clients, becoming a trusted part of their businesses rather than simply processing figures from behind the scenes.

You'll have the opportunity to build strong client relationships, use your bookkeeping expertise to make a genuine difference and work alongside an experienced team who are happy to support you and help you develop.

What makes this role different?
You'll be trusted to:

Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and become a trusted point of contact
Work with clients to ensure their financial information is accurate, up to date and useful
Review bookkeeping records and identify areas where improvements can be made
Assist clients with VAT and CIS requirements
Work closely with colleagues across the business to help clients understand and improve their financial position
Look beyond the process and suggest better ways of doing things

What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers but also enjoys working with people.
You'll ideally have:

Previous bookkeeping experience
Experience using Xero and Quick Books is an advantage and knowledge of other accounting software is also useful

Experience with VAT and CIS
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive approach and a willingness to look for ways to improve processes
The confidence to communicate directly with clients
