Our client, a leading independent automotive dealer group established in 1999, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Prep/PDI Technician to join their reputable multi‑franchise dealership in Swindon. - Carry out vehicle and equipment preparation ensuring compliance with company standards
- Conduct basic mechanical inspections, identifying defects or damage
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, servicing, inspections, and customer handovers
- Perform pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs) accurately and efficiently
- Remove and refit vehicle components as required
- Assist workshop colleagues with general preparation and support tasks
- Maintain high standards of work quality within a busy franchise‑approved dealership setting
- Contribute to the achievement of team targets and customer satisfaction goals
- Minimum of IMI/NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification
- A valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Proven experience working as a Vehicle Prep/PDI Technician or similar role within a dealership environment
- Ability to produce high‑quality work under time constraints
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude and commitment to excellence
- Motivated to develop skills and progress within a reputable organisation
- Ability to follow company procedures and safety standards consistently
