Full-time, working 5 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday

Rotational shifts between 8:00am and 8:00pm
About the Role
We are recruiting Inbound Banking Customer Service Advisors on behalf of Nationwide for their Swindon-based customer service team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with customer service experience who enjoy helping people and are looking to develop their skills within the banking and financial services sector. You will be the first point of contact for customers, supporting them with their everyday banking needs over the telephone.
Full training will be provided, so previous banking or financial services experience is not essential. You will also receive ongoing support from an experienced and friendly team.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound calls from customers regarding their everyday banking needs.
Provide a friendly, professional and empathetic customer service experience.
Support customers with online banking and explain available products and services.
Listen to customers, understand their needs and help find suitable solutions.
Build rapport with customers and adapt your communication style to suit different individuals.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Follow company procedures and ensure customer enquiries are handled correctly.
About You We are looking for candidates who have:
Previous customer service experience.
Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence speaking on the telephone.
A friendly, patient and understanding approach to customer service.
Good computer skills and confidence using a desktop or laptop.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
The ability to work well in a busy, fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help customers.
Access to a secure and reliable internet connection, where required.
Previous banking experience is not required, as full training will be provided.
Working Hours and Shift Pattern You will work on site at Nationwide's Pipers Way office in Swindon, five days out of seven, with shifts scheduled between 8:00am and 8:00pm.
Shift patterns include:
Early: 8:00am–4:00pm
Mid: 9:00am–5:00pm or 10:00am–6:00pm
Late: 11:00am–7:00pm or 12:00pm–8:00pm
You will receive six weeks' notice of your shift pattern. During weeks when you work late shifts, you will have that weekend off. Some weeks may involve working six days across a rolling pattern into the following week.
What We Offer
