A specialist mental health school in Swindon are seeking a Criminology Graduate to join their team as a Learning Support Assistant.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who face a range of social, emotional and mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, attachment needs, and low self-esteem.

Your role will be crucial in helping them navigate the school day, providing academic guidance and therapeutic support.

Your daily duties will include:

Working 1:1 and in small groups with vulnerable students.
Learning and implementing a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach within the classroom.
Helping students build confidence, resilience and emotional regulation skills.
Tutoring students in key subject areas, particularly where they are less confident.
Collaborating with Teachers, Therapists and other support staff.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to build hands-on experience in a mental health and behavioural setting. The school are seeking a graduate who is confident, proactive, with a calm and supportive outlook. Previous experience working with children and/or vulnerable individuals would be beneficial, but not essential.

£85 to £95 per day
