Connex Education is urgently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Swindon and the surrounding area.
We are currently experiencing high demand for Cover Supervisors in Swindon and are looking for reliable, confident individuals who are available to work at least 2 days per week. Whether you're looking for part-time work alongside other commitments or would prefer a full-time opportunity, we have a range of positions available.
Experience working in a school is preferred but is not essential. If you have the right attitude, confidence and ability to engage with young people, we can provide free training and ongoing support to help you get started.
This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, aspiring teachers, experienced education professionals, or anyone with experience working with children and young people who is looking to develop their skills in a school environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play an important role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment when teachers are absent. You'll deliver lessons using work prepared by teaching staff, supervise students and ensure they remain focused and engaged throughout the school day.

• Leading lessons using work and resources prepared by teaching staff.
• Supervising students and encouraging them to remain engaged with their learning.
• Managing classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Supporting students to stay on task and complete their work.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Providing a calm, positive and professional presence in the classroom.

• Competitive daily rates of £120–£160, depending on experience.
• Weekly PAYE pay – no need to wait until the end of the month.

• Are available to work at least 2 days per week.
• Are confident, reliable and enthusiastic about working with young people.
• Have experience working with children or young people – although this is preferred rather than essential.
• Have experience in education, coaching, mentoring, youth work or similar settings (desirable).
• Have strong communication and organisational skills.
• Are confident managing groups of students and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
• Can adapt quickly to different schools, classes and situations.
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection, or are willing to complete the required training.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
