A specialist school in Swindon is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and motivated Autism Support Assistant to join its dedicated team. You will support pupils aged 5-16 with Autism, communication differences, sensory needs, and a range of additional learning requirements.

This role is particularly well suited to individuals looking to develop their knowledge of Autism while gaining hands-on experience supporting children in a structured, nurturing environment. Working alongside teachers and specialist staff, you will help pupils feel understood, supported, and confident in accessing their education.

As an Autism Support Assistant, you will provide individualised support both inside and outside the classroom. Your responsibilities will include helping pupils engage with learning activities, encouraging communication, supporting social development, and helping students manage their emotions and sensory needs. You will also play an important role in developing pupils’ independence, confidence, and everyday life skills.

Building positive relationships will be central to the role.
