A secondary school in Swindon is seeking a Performing Arts Technician to support its music drama and performance departments.
The successful candidate will assist with practical lessons rehearsals productions concerts and other school events.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare performance and rehearsal spaces.
Set up sound lighting staging and audiovisual equipment.
Support teachers during practical lessons.
Assist with productions concerts and live performances.
Maintain and safely store technical equipment.
Carry out routine checks of specialist equipment.
Assist with props staging and production resources.
Troubleshoot basic technical issues.
Maintain equipment inventories.
Ensure performance areas remain safe and organised.
Previous theatre events music or performing arts experience.
Practical knowledge of technical equipment.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to work calmly during live events.
Good attention to detail.
Flexible and reliable approach.
Relevant technical qualifications are advantageous.
