We are seeking an experienced HR professional who can demonstrate broad generalist HR expertise, confidently apply HR policy to real-life scenarios, and provide practical, solution-focused advice from day one. As this is a short term role, client need someone who can work independently and confidently in these areas. your main responsibilities will be to:
* Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of people-related matters, policies and procedures.
* Manage and support employee relations casework, including absence management, performance, disciplinary and grievance cases.
* Coach and influence managers to ensure consistent, compliant and pragmatic people management decisions.
* Build strong stakeholder relationships across HR, business areas and external service providers.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance HR processes, guidance and ways of working.
* Analyse HR data and trends to identify insights and recommend appropriate actions.
* Contribute to HR projects, organisational change activities and learning initiatives as required.
* Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies. Essential:
* Relevant experience working within an operational HR environment.
* CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience and knowledge.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence, challenge and support stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and manage competing demands.
* Strong judgement and decision-making skills within policy and procedural frameworks.
* Proven ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate within a team. Desirable:
* Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
