As a Contract Director
, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading a high-performing team across multiple service lines, ensuring we exceed customer expectations while achieving financial and operational targets. Working at the prestigious Defence Academy
, you’ll manage client relationships, drive growth, and enhance our reputation as a leading provider of support services and catering solutions.

• Leadership & Strategy – Inspire and manage a team of 7 direct reports and oversee a workforce of around 240 people.
• Financial & Contract Management – Ensure all contractual terms are met while optimising profitability and achieving financial targets.
• Operational Excellence – Oversee service delivery, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
• Client Relationship Management – Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive collaboration and satisfaction.
• Growth & Development – Identify opportunities to enhance and expand service offerings.
• Continuous Improvement – Monitor KPIs and implement strategies for operational enhancements.

• A proven leader with senior management experience

• A results-driven professional with a strong commercial acumen and the ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Experience in highly commercial and price-sensitive markets with a customer-first mindset.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. A flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to shifting business priorities.

• Facilities management, including waste management.
• Soft services, particularly catering and hospitality.
• FM accreditation (IWFM) or working towards certification.
