The Role:
Operate sawmill machinery safely and efficiently Load, position, and secure timber onto cutting equipment Measure, mark, and cut timber to required sizes and specifications Monitor machine performance and report faults or defects Carry out basic machine maintenance and cleaning Sort, stack, and store cut timber correctly Inspect timber for defects, damage, or quality issues Follow health and safety procedures, including use of PPE Maintain a clean and organised work area Assist with manual handling and movement of materials Record production data and complete basic documentation Work collaboratively with supervisors and other operatives Requirements:
