Veterinary Surgeon Expanding Practice

Veterinary Surgeon | Swindon | Full-Time

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a successful and growing small animal practice in Swindon.

We are primarily seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with 2+ years of UK postgraduate experience
, although we would also be interested in speaking with more experienced candidates who may be considering a Head Vet position.

This is a busy first-opinion small animal practice with an experienced clinical team comprising 9 Veterinary Surgeons,12 Registered Veterinary Nurses plus support staff.

This is a full-time position with a four-day working week and a strong emphasis on maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key details include:

• 40 hours contracted per week over 4 days
• Varied shift options from 7 to 12 hours
• 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am-2pm)
• No out-of-hours commitments
• No sole charge

The role will involve a mix of consultations and surgery howeverpractice is happy to offer flexibility depending on clinical interests, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates with a stronger bias towards either consulting or surgical work.

The successful candidate will:

• Have at least 2 years' UK veterinary experience post-graduation
• Be confident working within a first-opinion practice environment
• Enjoy working as part of a larger team
• Deliver high standards of patient and client care
• Possess strong communication and teamwork skills

• Salary from £44,000 to £68,000 dependent on experience
• 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
