Family Safeguarding Social Worker

Family Safeguarding Social Worker | Swindon | Up to £42 per Hour + Expenses
Caritas Recruitment is urgently recruiting experienced Qualified Social Workers to join the highly regarded Family Safeguarding Team (FST) in Swindon.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative service focused on achieving sustainable change for children and families through a strengths-based and multi-disciplinary approach. We are particularly keen to hear from Social Workers who have previous experience within a Family Safeguarding Team or a similar Children's Safeguarding, Child Protection or Family Support setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding intervention and support.
Undertake Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need and Child Protection work.
Complete Section 47 enquiries and contribute to safeguarding investigations.
Develop and implement effective plans that improve outcomes and reduce risks for children.
Work closely with multi-disciplinary professionals and partner agencies.
Build strong relationships with families to promote positive and lasting change.
Attend child protection conferences, core groups and multi-agency meetings.
Maintain accurate, timely and high-quality case recordings and reports.

Requirements:

Social Work England Registration.
Right to Work in the UK.
Qualified Social Worker with experience within Children's Services.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment and statutory social work responsibilities.
Previous Family Safeguarding Team experience is highly desirable.
Experience working within Child Protection, Child in Need, Assessment or Safeguarding Teams.
Excellent communication, assessment and relationship-building skills.
