HGV 1; C+E Night Driver

Location: Swindon

Pay: £22.59 – £24.61 per hour

Pertemps, in partnership with the Royal Mail — the UK’s trusted Universal Postal Service Provider — is seeking experienced HGV 1 (C+E) Drivers to join their Swindon Distribution Centre.

You’ll be trunking parcels and mail between Royal Mail depots nationwide — with minimal manual handling and shifts planned 1 week in advance for your convenience.

What we’re looking for:

• Valid HGV 1 licence held for a minimum of 2 years with 6 months proven commercial driving experience
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Cards are essential
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor endorsements (No DD/DR/IN/CD or TT endorsements)
• Due to the nature of the work willingness to work weekend shifts
• Excellent geographical knowledge and professional attitude
• Strong understanding of WTD and driver hours
• Confident completing manual tachograph entries
• Ability to pass a DBS security check
• Successful completion of site assessment and induction before first shift
