Hgv 1 Drivers

Location: Upper Stratton

We are seeking a professional HGV 1 Driver to join a busy retailer in the Swindon area (SN3) to start immediately. This is an ongoing role, with potential for a permanent contract.
About the HGV 1 Driver Role:
 
* Monday to Friday - No Weekends!
 
* Start times between 4am-7am
 
* Pay rate is £18.50ph
 
* Ongoing work with potential for permanent contract
 
* Approx 4-6 drops to retail stores. There is no unloading - you just pull back curtain and the stock is taken off by forklift
Duties for the HGV 1 Driver Role:
 
* Operate HGV 1 vehicle in accordance with all road safety and traffic regulations
 
* Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
 
* Deliver goods to various locations efficiently and punctually, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines
 
* Secure loads appropriately to prevent movement during transit
 
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
 
* Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during routes
Experience / Qualifications required for the HGV 1 Driver role:
 
* Valid LGV 1 (C+E) licence + Driver CPC Card & Digi Card
 
* Minimum 2 years HGV 1 driving experience
 
* Maximum 6 points for minor offences (No DR's, DD's etc)
 
* Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
 
* Experience in delivery driving with a focus on timely and secure deliveries
 
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively during routes
 
* Strong communication skills and a professional attitude towards customer service
