You may create your own work schedule, work as little or as often as you choose, pick assignments that best fit you, and much more!

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or G.E.D. Certified Teacher preferred. Able to become familiar with the school, its philosophy, programs, and policies. Must complete a felony background check.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Report to the main office upon arrival.
• Review plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day.
• Assume responsibility for overseeing pupil behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods.
• Keep records of work completed at the end of each teaching day and leave them for the regular classroom teacher.
• Remain in the assigned duty of the regular classroom teacher until the official school closing.
• Report to the main office at the conclusion of the teaching day to have the day verified by a signed slip given to the substitute, and to determine whether or not their services will be required on the next teaching day.

* Substitutes are hired on a temporary/part-time basis only, as needed. Non-certified substitutes are limited to 90 teaching days per school year. Performance will be evaluated annually.
