The Position
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform general accounting clerical duties.
Major Responsibilities- Perform general clerical duties in the Accounting Office.
- Explain District policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Operate standard office equipment, including microcomputers to enter and extract information and data.
- Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
- Greet visitors; answer telephones; assist students, staff, and the public.
- Receive, open, sort, and route mail.
- Type correspondence and other materials.
- Manage calendars and set appointments.
- Maintain files and records.
- Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping practices and procedures; modern office practices, procedures, and equipment; record‑keeping techniques;
English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary. - Ability to perform clerical work of average difficulty; operate a computer terminal and microcomputer equipment; accurately and efficiently enter and extract information and data; understand and follow oral and written directions; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Favorable; involves a classroom; subject to working evening and weekend hours.
Conditions of Employment:
The following must be completed prior to employment – Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam;
Have fingerprints taken by a Live Scan computer at the district’s expense;
Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
