The International Section is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Biology with ESS.

Start date:

August 2026
Workload: 80 – 100 %

The successful candidate will teach Biology or General Science in Grades 9 and 10, and Biology at IB Diploma level. The ability to teach Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS) is considered a strong asset.

• Designing and delivering engaging, inquiry-based lessons that develop scientific understanding, critical thinking, and practical skills.
• Supporting students’ academic and personal growth both within and beyond the classroom.
• Contributing to collaborative curriculum development.
• Participating actively in the school’s rich co-curricular and extracurricular life.

• Degree in Biology or a closely related subject.
• Teaching qualification recognised for upper secondary schools.
• Proven teaching experience in secondary science, including IB Diploma Biology.
• Ability to teach or a willingness to contribute to IB Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS) is a strong asset.
• Highly motivated teacher with excellent pedagogical skills and a strong commitment to student-centred, inquiry-based learning.
• Confident, flexible, and collaborative professional who enjoys working with young people in an international school environment.
• Swiss/EU/EFTA citizenship is an advantage.
